Romford Pride 2025 Lights Up Romford Market

On June 28, 2025, Romford Pride returned with a radiant showcase of local LGBTQ+ artistry. Held at Romford Market and hosted by Kaleidoscope, the event featured free live performances from local talents including Emi (an independent singer-songwriter and full-time arts student), Sumner Brook (poet, comedian, activist), Karteer Mugler (voguer from the Paris Ballroom scene), and host/musician Jo Bailey. It was a vibrant, inclusive afternoon of creativity that highlighted Romford’s queer community spirit and musical talent.

Romford Drum & Trumpet Corps to Represent UK at U.S. 250th Anniversary

In mid‑June, the renowned Romford Drum & Trumpet Corps was announced as the only UK band invited to perform at the 250th anniversary of American Independence in Philadelphia, July 2026. Alongside world-class marching band competitions and America’s longest-running 4th July Parade, this honor places Romford firmly on the international stage. To make the trip possible, the Corps is raising funds—hosting a Fun Day & Proms Concert on July 12 as part of a £97K goal, since they receive no public funding and impose no membership fees.

Live Music Sundays at The Bear: Summer Vibes Ongoing

Through the summer holidays, The Bear pub on Noak Hill Road is hosting its Live Music Sundays outdoor series. Recent highlights included a performance from cover singer Jess on July 27, with more acts lined up throughout August—from Ritchie on August 3 to a silent disco on August 24. A great low-key way to enjoy local musical energy under the summer sky.
