A Southend businessman has found himself in hot water after posting a meme in the wake of England Women’s semi-final success against Australia in the World Cup.
Philip Miller is the majority shareholder of Southend’s Adventure Radio and also Radio Essex, which is based in the town and has a commercial radio licence to serve Southend and Chelmsford.
Responses were universally negative.
Miller has courted controversy before with his comments in support of Donald Trump, who is currently facing 91 criminal charges in the US courts. So far there has been no further comment.
