Artist Feature: Electric Ramble

This week we’re putting the spotlight on American artist Electric Ramble. We spoke to Evan from the band who told us all about them.

Tell us a little bit about yourself?

I’m Evan Hall, a singer and guitarist based in New Orleans, Louisiana. I lead a band called Electric Ramble, we’re a rock and soul group that thrives on live energy and raw emotion. Music has always been the center of my life, and I’ve dedicated myself to building a career that’s both creative and sustainable.

When did you first start to develop a passion for music?

It started when I was a kid. I remember being drawn to records and live performances, and I couldn’t shake the feeling that this was what I was meant to do. I picked up a guitar and never really put it down, from there it became less of a hobby and more of a lifelong pursuit.

Which artists did you listen to while growing up?

I grew up on a mix of rock, soul, and blues. Artists like Led Zeppelin, The Allman Brothers, Otis Redding, The Black Crowes, Jimi Hendrix and the 3 kings of blues (B.B., Albert, & Freddie) really shaped my foundation. That blend of grit and soul still runs through everything I do today. In particular, the Led Zeppelin Live at Royal Albert Hall videos quite literally changed my life. I remember clinging to every moment of John Bonham’s 15 minute drum solo on “Moby Dick” and being in awe of the thunderous sound that he brought to that band.

How would you describe your music to someone who hasn’t heard you before?

Electric Ramble’s music is rock and soul with a modern edge. It’s raw, passionate, and built for the stage. We’ve got that Southern grit but with a sense of hope and energy that connects with people no matter where they’re from.

What music have you recorded and released to date?

We’ve released 2 singles this year including “Out of Time” and “Let It Roll,” which have been well received in New Orleans and beyond. We’re building toward a full album that captures the intensity of our live shows.

Which artists do you enjoy listening to at the moment – and do they influence your work?

Lately I’ve been listening to artists like Marcus King, Rival Sons, and Dirty Honey. They’re all carrying that torch of soulful rock into today’s world, and that definitely resonates with me. I draw inspiration from them, but I also want to carve out a lane that’s uniquely Electric Ramble.

Who would your dream collaboration be with?

Working with someone like Dave Grohl would be incredible. His passion for music and live performance is unmatched. On the soul side, someone like Brittany Howard would also be a dream collaboration.

What are your plans for the future?

We’re focused on releasing our debut album in 2026, expanding our touring footprint, and getting onto major festival stages like New Orleans Jazz Fest. Long-term, I want to make music that lasts and build a career that keeps growing while staying true to who we are.
