Two men have been arrested after another man was found with a head injury.

A man, 23, was found with a head injury in Oxford Road, Harold Hill at 7.53pm yesterday, police confirmed today.

Two men were arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries are ongoing, a police statement added.

London Ambulance Service (LAS) said it was called at 8.47pm last night to reports of an assault at the same location.

A patient was treated at the scene for a head injury before being taken to hospital, a LAS spokesperson said.

“We sent an ambulance crew, an incident response officer and members of our tactical response unit to the scene,” he added.

The patient has been taken to a local hospital.

A nearby resident said he saw around five police vehicles and two paramedic response cars near his Harold Hill home last night.
